Lately things have been crazy for the LIVE Life Project. We delivered our first message down in Madison and since then have been working non-stop to complete newsletters, update our social media accounts, and continue to spread the message! On top of all of that Jake and I both have to deal with the responsibilities of our lives haha. Jake has exams, papers, and lectures to focus on and I'm getting ready to open up my office for the company I work for. As you can guess, things have a been a bit stressful. However one thing that I've started to nail is planning and since I'm practicing this right now I figured I'd share a few tips on planning for sucess with you!
1. Set your goals- No matter who you talk to, whether it's a coach, a financial advisor, a boss you will always be asked what are your goals? What are you looking to accomplish? Like wise, if you are going to plan...you need to have a reason!
2. Get a daily planner- This has been my life saver! Actually right now at this moment, my planner is not with me and I feel a bit lost. I love having my schedule all planned out. I block off a section in each day (usually between 10-3) as my "Daily To-Do List." Since I've started using my planner, I have been more productive and felt more relaxed. I recommend for this for anyone from high schoolers to the most successful professional.
3. Plan your week in advance- I'm all for living in the moment. However, I'm also about knowing what I'm doing in the future. Every week I sit down for about an hour or so and plan out the next week. I think about what I need to do each day to take a step closer towards my biggest goals.
4. Make a daily To Do List- I've eluded to this a few times, but a "To Do List" is so powerful. Basically your setting little daily goals that will help you accomplish your big goals and keep stress at a minimum. I wish I would've started doing this in high school with my semester projects.
Obviously I could get more in depth with planning, but I'm not looking to write a book(yet :D). I hope this is a bit helpful!
